Is tomorrow really the end?

So tomorrow is it I guess.  We all will be in heaven (if you are a believer that is!).  Jesus will come back!  No more bills, rent, worry.  :)

In therory it sounds great, but really putting a date (and time I guess ~ 6pm?) on God and telling Him when He is going to come back?  Sounds a little scary!  (I would watch out for lightening if I were him!)

I don't believe tomorrow is the end.  We don't know, the Bible tells us we don't know and only the Father knows!  All we are to do is be ready and share the good news of Jesus and the hope we have in Him with everyone we know and meet!  So that when He does come back, we are ready!

Yes it will be a glorious day for those that believe in Jesus and have accepted Him as your Savior!  (For those that haven't, well it is not going to be a good day for you at all, sorry~ but as long as you are still breathing and still have life there is Hope for you to turn to Jesus!)

So in everything that is going on in the next couple days, don't get sucked into the negative of it all, or get sucked into that the world is ending tomorrow...  Instead take some extra time and spend it with our Lord!  :)

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!  If you have any thoughts, I would love to hear them!!!!

How Huge the Night Blog Tour

About How Huge the Night:

Fifteen-year-old Julien Losier just wants to fit in. But after his family moves to a small village in central France in hopes of outrunning the Nazis, he is suddenly faced with bigger challenges than the taunting of local teens. Nina Krenkel left her country to obey her father's dying command: Take your brother and leave Austria. Burn your papers. Tell no one you are Jews. Alone and on the run, she arrives in Tanieux, France, dangerously ill and in despair.
Thrown together by the chaos of war, Julien begins to feel the terrible weight of the looming conflict and Nina fights to survive. As France falls to the Nazis, Julien struggles with doing what is right, even if it is not enough-and wonders whether or not he really can save Nina from almost certain death.

Based on the true story of the town of Le Chambon-the only French town honored by Israel for rescuing Jews from the Holocaust-How Huge the Night is a compelling, coming-of-age drama that will keep teens turning the pages as it teaches them about a fascinating period of history and inspires them to think more deeply about their everyday choices.

About the Munn's:

Heather Munn was born in Northern Ireland and grew up in southern France where her parents were missionaries like their parents before them. She has a BA in literature from Wheaton College and now lives in a Christian intentional community in rural Illinois, where she and her husband, Paul, host free spiritual retreats for the poor, especially those transitioning out of homelessness or addiction. When not writing or hosting, she works on the communal farm.

Lydia Munn, daughter of missionary parents, grew up in Brazil. She received a BA in literature from Wheaton College, and an MA in Bible from Columbia Graduate School of Bible and Missions. With her husband, Jim, she has worked in church planting and Bible teaching since 1983, notably in St. Etienne, near the small town in the central mountains of France which forms the background of How Huge the Night. The Munns now live in Grenoble, France.

My review:

I loved this book.  I am a huge fan of historical fiction, especially based during war times.  I have been very interested in WWII lately and the persecution of the Jews during that time, so this was a perfect fit for me.

Although the book didn't actually talk a lot about the actual fighting part of the war, it was great to see what happened to communities that even though the war didn't reach, it affected all the same.  And then to become a refuge center for the Jews made it all the better!  I was very moved by the characters and how they changed throughout the book.  It really showed how God can do anything and only God can change someone's heart!  I found it almost humerous during the situations where Julien would picture himself being the Good Samaratian or the better person, and God humbled him by making his enemy the Good Samaratian or the better person in the story!

The description of the characters was amazing, more then the physical was who the characters were.  I felt like I knew what to expect from each character, you just knew their personalities, well until God changed them that is!

I would recommend this book for teenagers, young adults, parents, those that love historical fiction, and adults of all ages.  Even though it is writen for teenagers/young adults, it is still captivating enough for adults.
