Last night's dinner....

So I made a Rachel Ray recipe... (hubby loves her) well it was AMAZING the first time, so I thought, well we are going to have company, let's make it again... Friend shows up to smoke alarms going off, nothing ready smoke filled house, cake (tried Red Velvet from scratch) not frosted (oh frosting not even made!!!!). Oh thank God he wasn't expecting much! Anyways, the meal turned out ok. Not bad, not great... So it wasn't too bad a failure! :)
